Taka George

Taka George is the Retro Boys' Sound Engineer. He usually isn't suited like the rest but you can find him either tucked away in a corner somewhere mixing the show or running about the venue mixing the show. In between gigs, he is in his studio recording, mixing, mastering, producing, composing or writing with artists from around the world. So far, his work has lead him to engineer for Donovan, record and mix for a signed artist (can't say who yet), cowrite many albums and EPs across many genres and has even ended up assisting the editing of Lana Del Rey's "National Anthem" music video. He hopes to see you on the dance floor at one of our gigs.

Morgan Simpson

Morgan Simpson is the drummer for the Retro Boys and his passion for this instrument began to blossom at the tender age of 2 and he hasn’t looked back since! Due to the musical exposure from a young age he started to become experienced in playing a wide range of genres. He has been lucky enough to gain recognition from the drumming community which resulted in him gaining his first drum endorsement aged 11. He won Young Drummer of the Year 2014 at his third attempt which really outlined his passion for Drums. Currently, he is on a Music at The BRIT School in Croydon which he feels has developed his skills not only as a musician, but as a person and he now feels ready to enter the business. He wants to further his playing particularly in areas such as Jazz and reading notated music to enhance the opportunity for work.
